Our Experience in the Industry
IPMS has experience across many segments of the retail industry, particularly in grocery, convenience, pet, hardware and drug. This expertise includes management services, patented store set processes and services, business analysis, modeling, design/build automated solutions, software & hardware development, integration and quality assurance.
Since 1995, IPMS has provided products and services to several large national retailers. During the last twelve years, IPMS has also provided business services to several companies serving the retail sector. These retail partners have provided IPMS with the basis to create a suite of products enabling retailers to achieve corner-by-corner marketing. IPMS continues to work with these partners to further refine its products for their needs.
IPMS has developed extensive expertise in store operations, with particular emphasis on “center of the store” issues, dynamic space planning, store-vendor relationships, electronic pricing and marketing. For example, we can reduce shelf stocking costs for new stores, remodeled stores, resets, cut-ins and category updates by as much as 70% and increase sales through faster opening of stores, and reduced “out of stocks” and “distribution voids”.
IPMS has found that most business decisions are made by the “C” level of the organization who are interested in the Return on Investment (results), not just technology. Through the use our services the Retailer has realized a value of upwards of $4.00 a shelf foot, with an ROI of greater than 1000%. The average duration to implement IPMS services is between 90-120 days. Working with merchandising and technology executives, IPMS ensures product implementations are completed on time, within budget, and consistent with the customer’s expected ROI.
More Experience:
Integration and Testing of Scale Management Software
We integrate and support the replacement and implementation of a new scale management system, enabling new marketing scenarios for weight based products.
Report Generation
We develop and implement intranet/internet reporting systems for sales reporting and analysis. These systems make it possible for managers worldwide to see the current situation of their business units, and to examine the performance of any part of the sales force.
Deliver an architecture for an acquisition friendly store environment that allows rapid technology consolidation
Modern tools allow new approaches to integrating dissimilar point-of-sale (POS), reorder, and mainframe support systems. These are forged into a platform allowing rapid integration and operation of newly acquired stores with minimum legacy system impact.
Forecast for baseline and promotion including ordering and distribution
We develop processes for identifying product attention issues in stores using scan data (in-house and third party), supporting reordering, avoiding distribution voids, and projecting promotional volumes.
In-Store Data Management Model and Process Engines
Build in-store data models and application engines for the next generation store, easing new application integration, and supporting in-store management concepts like store specific merchandising, in-store schematic implementation, daily replenishment, authorized product administration.
Acquisition Consolidation for Sales, Movement, Stocking, Etc
We will help implement an architecture to allow easy consolidation of various formats and data streams to allow operations implementation of newly acquired divisions.
Chain-Wide Project Management for Business and Technology Rollout
We are expanding our project management control services to assist retailers in quality control for rollouts of technology. Our methods produce significant savings in the rollout and post rollout.
